Starting in 2025, EcO comes with a replaceable battery, which permanently extends its lifespan. Here are the instructions so you can do it easily!
Step-by-Step Battery Replacement Guide
1️⃣ Unscrew the top cover
Using the included Torx T8 screwdriver, unscrew the 4 screws on the top cover. Carefully remove the cover and its O-ring.
2️⃣ Open the probe and take out the components
Gently remove the electronics board (PCB) without disconnecting any cables. Simply set it aside to access the battery holder.
3️⃣ Disconnect the battery from the electronics board
Once the board is moved aside, unplug the battery from its holder.
4️⃣ Connect the new battery to the board
Take your new battery and place it in the holder. Connect the battery to the main board. A beep will confirm the connection.
5️⃣ Put all components back
Insert the new battery, its holder, and the main board back into your EcO.
6️⃣ Screw the top cap back on
Place the cover and its O-ring on top of the probe. Use the screwdriver to reinsert and tighten the 4 screws.
7️⃣ Rub the cap with a magnet to wake your probe
Wake the probe by rubbing the cap with a magnet. A beep will indicate your probe is ready.
