No, EcO cannot be taken out of the water. Make sure that your EcO always stays in contact with water! If you have to take your EcO out of your pool for some reason, immerse it directly in a bucket of water (for example) otherwise you could damage its sensors and disrupt the water quality analysis as well as its longevity.
