Configuration of a swimming pool or a spa

You have just installed the iopool app and create your account? Fine, now you just have to configure it.

The initial configuration is very simple:

  1. Select if it's a pool or a spa (hot tub),

  2. Pick a cool and unique name for it;

  3. Select the type of pool or spa and its shape;

  4. Then choose its shape and enter the volume of water in m3 for a swimming pool and in liters for a spa.

💡 You don't know the exact volume of water? You can activate the volume calculator using the "I don't know the volume of my pool" button.

You will then be prompted to refine your pool profile in the configuration tab, if you wish.

Do you want to create a second swimming pool or a spa?

  1. Access the "My pool" menu;

  2. Press the "+" button in the upper right corner of the page;

  3. Click on "Confirm" to create a second pool;

  4. Follow the pool setup process detailed above.

“The application asks me to access my location, why?”

When creating your pool, the application will ask for permission to use the location data of your smartphone or tablet. You must accept geolocation to configure your pool. Don't worry, we only use geolocation to provide accurate weather forecasts and improve Bluetooth connectivity.

“I can not create my pool, the app automatically goes back to first screen, what to do?”

This is because you have not allowed the iopool app to access your geolocation. Go to the settings on your phone to allow iopool access to your location data.
